Casa Árabe presents this morning at 12.30 the conference World peace, in mutual understanding and dialogue among civilizations, to be given by Dr. Muhammad Abdul Karim Al-Issa (in the photo), general secretary of the League of the Islamic World and President of the Islamic Cultural Center of Madrid. Free admission until capacity is full. Event in Spanish and Arabic, with simultaneous interpretation.
Dr. Muhammad Abdul Karim Al-Issa (b. 1965) is the secretary general of the League of the Islamic World since 2016 and president of the Centro Cultural Islámico de Madrid. Doctor of Comparative Judicial Studies, Minister of Justice of Saudi Arabia (2009-2015) and President of the Court of Cassation. Distinguished academic, lecturer and author in Islamic law, human rights and inter-religious dialogue, has lectured at universities in Europe and the USA.
He has received numerous international awards, including the Galileo International Prize, the Saudi Arabia Moderation Award, and multiple honorary doctorates for promoting peace, moderation and interfaith cooperation. Has led dialogue initiatives such as the Paris Agreement for the Abrahamic Family, bringing together Jewish, Christian and Muslim leaders.
Recognized by the UN, ICESCO and several heads of state, has worked actively in defense of global peace, Islamic unity and the fight against extremism. In recent years he has been distinguished as an Ambassador for International Peace, further promoting sustainability and inter-religious respect in global forums.
