The Kiev Ballet by Viktor Ishchuk returns to Madrid with ‘Swan Lake’

 

On Monday 3 and Sunday 9 November, the Teatro Lope de Vega in Madrid (57 Gran Via street) will once again welcome Viktor Ishchuk’s Kiev Ballet with Swan Lake by Piotr Tchaikovsky and libretto by Vladimir Beghitchev and Vasili Geletzer.

 

With the choreography of Marius Petipa, this is the last opportunity to enjoy in Madrid this ballet of recognized trajectory, this time with its most iconic title, after the irrefutable success of his tours through Spain in 2022 and 2025 . Tours that have allowed you to know your talent, technique, expertise and professionalism.

 

Viktor Ishchuk, famous solo dancer of the Kiev Opera House, founded this ballet in 2017 and manages to realize a long-cherished dream: the creation of a stable and young company, that it would bring together the most prominent stars from all over Ukraine and could present to the world the talent, skill and professionalism of the artists of that country.

 

Among its members, the Kiev Ballet has several of the soloists of the Kiev Opera and Ballet Theatre and 4 Spanish dancers, chosen from the best professionals in our country.

 

The Kiev Ballet maintains among its main objectives the care of traditions and essence of the purest classical ballet. Throughout these years they have traveled much of the world representing the main classical titles, as well as original choreographies. Swan Lake, The Nutcracker, La Bella Durmiente, Don Quixote, Giselle, Carmen, Scheherazade, Les Sylphides, Cinderella, Zorba the Greek, Eyes wide Shut, etc. are part of his regular repertoire.

 

Of each ticket sold, €1 will be donated to UNICEF in order to support its work in the Ukrainian war emergency. Thanks to the tours of 2022, 2023 and 2024 Goldberg has already donated 399.160 euros.
