‘EU-North Africa relations in a new geopolitical era’, at Casa Árabe

 

Casa Árabe de Madrid presents this afternoon at 7 pm in its auditorium the conference EU-North Africa relations in a new geopolitical era, by Arslan Chikhaoui (pictured), graduated in Political and Economic Sciences.

 

The conference will focus on the dynamics of the current multipolar geopolitical map, which present challenges and opportunities in relations between the countries of the European Union and those of North Africa.

Arslan Chikhaoui holds a degree in Political and Economic Sciences. He currently chairs the NSV study centre, established in Algeria in 1993. Member of the Expert Council of the World Economic Forum (WEF-Davos), of the United Nations Security Council Resolution 1540 Civil Forum and former student at the NESA Centre for Strategic Studies (NDU-NESA Washington D. C.). Actively participates in several working groups of the second track addressing the New Partnership for Africa’s Development, security in the Mediterranean region, the Maghreb and Sahel, and the Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) Free Zone in the Middle East and North Africa. Served as Principal Adviser to the Algerian Institute for Strategic Studies (1991-1994) and Principal Coordinator of the Development and Cooperation Programmes for Algeria (1982-1990).
