On the occasion of the 200th anniversary of the birth of the waltz king Johann Strauss, the Foro Cultural de Austria presents the stage-musical reading Johann and Jetty this afternoon at 7 pm in the Museo del Romanticismo de Madrid (calle San Mateo, 13). In addition, the work will be presented next Wednesday at 8 pm at the Auditorium of the Association of Opera and Concerts in the city of Elda (Alicante).
The work revolves around the intense life of Johann Strauss Jr and his wife Jetty, shedding light on the important role she played in the composer’s career.
The artistic team is led by the Salzburg cultural manager Elfi Schweiger, and incorporates Marcus Ganser, actor, director and set designer, the Viennese actress Claudia Ziegler and the Spanish actor Sergio Artero, the pianist Adrian Suciu, the violinist Johanna Kaiser and the singer Daria Alexandra Barzu. Together, they will take the spectator on a unique musical-theatrical journey.
