Cabaret El recuerdo, is the title of the altar of the dead 2025 and is set in the Mexican cabaret that has its roots in the first decades of the twentieth century, influenced by European cabaret, especially French and German. It came to Mexico as a form of nightly entertainment in cafes and lounges, but soon took on a character of its own. Each element evokes the presence of these souls who are not entirely gone. His laughter still floats in the air, his steps still set the pace behind the scenes, and his memory shines like the last spotlight on stage. This altar not only honors those who have already departed, but also reminds us that life, like the best of cabarets, must be lived by singing, dancing and loving to the end. The design and coordination of the altar will be in charge of the architect and designer Guillermo González, recognized for his ability to transform spaces into memorable scenarios full of magic, elegance and originality. The altar is composed of three main works of popular art, catrinas vedets made in the technique of cartonería, a tzompantli of acrylic skulls and blown glass spheres.
