Instituto Francés presents the exhibition ‘Where the earth remembers’

In collaboration with the Casa de Velázquez, the Instituto Francés de Madrid presents in its gallery the exhibition Donde la tierra recuerda (Where the earth remembers), which brings together artists with unique practices, united by a single gesture: working on matter to reveal the sensitive dimensions of the world, those realities which escape our usual modes of perception.

Until 31 October, the Instituto Francés will host in its gallery an exhibition of four artists who, instead of reproducing a landscape or representing the living, create their works on the basis of a direct, tactile and attentive relationship: a sensory commitment to what surrounds us. They are inscribed in a deep listening of the earth, of its buried memories, of its invisible forces.

The exhibition presents the work of Paloma de la Cruz, Yann Gross, Raphaëlle Peria and François Réau, all recent or current resident artists of the Académie de France à Madrid, artistic section of the Casa de Velázquez. An exhibition curated by Claude Bussac.
