The Fundación Excelentia brings the Tchaikovsky Piano Concerto no1

Next Wednesday, September 24 at 7.30 pm, the Fundación Excelentia begins the season 15/26 of the “Great Classics” Cycle, in the Auditorio Nacional de Música of Madrid with Tchaikovsky, Wagner, Rimsky-Korsakov and R. Strauss, with the Santa Cecilia Classical Orchestra, the virtuoso pianist James Zijian and conductor Kynan Johns.

You will have the opportunity to enjoy the greatest orchestras of the History of Music gathered in a program with exhibition works for any symphonic ensemble: the game of colors of the orchestra at the service of our country’s folklore in the “Spanish Caprice” of the Russian Rimsky-Korsakov; the orchestra as a luxurious accompaniment to the most virtuoso piano in the popular Concerto for piano and orchestra no. 1 by his compatriot and respectful rival Tchaikovsky; a piece of which he would be one of the great reformers of the role of the orchestra in opera -Richard Wagner and his first and brilliant opera “Rienzi”, whose catchy overture is a spectacular page- and its continuator in the genre, Richard Strauss, with a waltz suite belonging to his best known opera: the Viennese comedy “The Knight in the Rose”. All of them, although some come from Russia and others from Germany, perfect exponents of the dazzling brightness, the colorful musical and the sound show that can become a great symphonic orchestra.
