Foreign Minister José Manuel Albares condemned this Tuesday “the shootings by Israeli armed forces against people waiting to receive food in Gaza” and called for an end to the violence and unimpeded access to humanitarian aid.

“The situation in Gaza is unsustainable,” the minister wrote on social media. “We condemn the shootings by Israeli armed forces against people waiting to receive food in Gaza,” he continued. “We demand an end to the violence and unimpeded access to humanitarian aid,” he added.

“Spain reiterates the need for a permanent ceasefire, the release of the hostages, and the rapid and uninterrupted entry of large-scale humanitarian aid into Gaza,” Albares wrote in a second message. “The two-state solution is the way for Palestinians and Israelis to live in peace and security,” he concluded.
