Real Jardín Botánico of Madrid commemorates the 270th anniversary of its foundation in 1755 with the organization of different scientific, cultural and artistic activities for all audiences. The proposal of this summer is an original piano concert offered by David Gómez (pictured), next 25 July at 22 hours in the Glorieta de los Plátanos (access by Plaza de Murillo, 2), surrounded by 270 candles, the same number of years that celebrates the RJB.
Pianist David Gomez proposes a musical journey through his nine albums, from The Island (2013) to VIDDÄ (2024, Warner Classics). An intimate and emotional recital that travels through soundscapes of introspection, tenderness and beauty. From melodies born in the solitude of confinement to homage to nature and silence. Each piece is a postcard of his artistic and personal evolution.
David Gomez, pianist and composer born in Wattwil (Switzerland) and raised in Mallorca, has performed concerts in 68 countries, from the Carnegie Hall in New York to the Cairo Opera. He is internationally recognized for his show ‘A piano and 200 candles’, whose intimate and visually impactful scenography has become viral around the world. Gómez holds the intellectual property rights to this unique concept. He recently released his ninth album, VIDDÄ, with the prestigious label Warner Classics (Warner Music).
