The Kiev Ballet, by Viktor Ishchuk, returns to Madrid with ‘Swan Lake’

 

The unforgettable and beautiful melody of the Russian composer Piotr Tchaikovsky, with libretto by Vladimir Beghitchev and Vasili Geletzer, Swan Lake, returns to Madrid, at the Teatro Coliseum from 29 July to 1 August, by the hand of the Kiev Ballet, by Viktor Ishchuk, with choreography by Marius Petipa.

 

An exciting, vibrant and incredible version of the famous creation by the Russian composer. Unique opportunity to enjoy this ballet, this time with its most iconic title, recognized track after the irrefutable success of his tour in Spain in 2022. A first tour in this country that allowed to know his talent, technique, mastery and professionalism.

 

Viktor Ishchuk, famous solo dancer of the Kiev Opera House, founded this ballet in 2017 and manages to realize a long-cherished dream: the creation of a stable and young company, that it would bring together the most prominent stars from all over Ukraine and could present to the world the talent, skill and professionalism of the artists of that country.

 

Among its main objectives, the Kiev Ballet maintains the care of traditions and essence of the purest classical ballet. Throughout these years they have traveled much of the world representing the main classical titles, as well as original choreographies. Swan Lake, The Nutcracker, Sleeping Beauty, Don Quixote, Giselle, Carmen, Scheherazade, Les Sylphides, Cinderella, Zorba the Greek, Eyes wide Shut, etc., are part of his regular repertoire.

 

The ballet is famous for its impressive choreography, full of graceful and elegant movements that symbolize the grace and beauty of swans. The swan dance is one of the most iconic parts of ballet of all time, with its smooth and fluid movements that seem to imitate the elegance of birds.

 

Of each ticket sold, €1 will be donated to UNICEF in order to support its work in the Ukrainian war emergency. Thanks to the tours of 2022, 2023 and 2024 Goldberg has already donated 399,160 euros. Kiev Ballet, dancing from the heart.
