Concert ‘Shakespeare, be my love’ at the Fundación Carlos de Amberes

Next Friday, June 27, at 7 pm, the auditorium of the Fundación Carlos de Amberes (calle Claudio Coello, 99) hosts the concert Shakespeare, be my love, an exceptional proposal by The Choral Bards, within the VI Renacen Festival.

A unique event, in which Shakespeare comes to life through 20th century vocal music. An exquisite selection of pieces by great contemporary composers that, interpreted a cappella or accompanied by piano and double bass, intertwine the richness of the classical choral style with the audacity of avant-garde and the enveloping nuances of jazz, creating a sound experience as innovative as deeply emotional.

The Renacen Festival of Renaissance and Baroque arts is organized by the Carlos de Amberes Foundation and the Garcilasos Company, and is resolved as a unique opportunity to approach the music of the past from the hand of groups of a proven quality and professional career.

Plays by George Shearing, György Orbán, Kevin Olson, Matthew Harris, Jaakko Mäntyjärvi, Stephen Sondheim and John Rutter will be performed. Tickets can be purchased at this link.
