UNRWA organizes ‘Voices for Humanity’, solidarity concert for Gaza

On the 20th of May UNRWA Spain, the United Nations Agency for Palestine Refugees is organizing a solidarity tribute: artists and citizens will join in a great solidarity concert for Gaza under the name Voices for Humanity, will be held in the La Riviera room (Madrid) from 8 p.m.

The event will feature a poster of committed and top-level artists: Marwan, Andrés Suárez, Amparo Sánchez (Amparanoia), Depedro, Mr. Kilombo, Pedro Pastor, Luis Ramiro, Ainoa Buitrago, Kanaku y el Tigre, Said Muti, among others.

The concert will be presented by two great figures from the cultural world: Aitana Sánchez-Gijón and Inés Hernand, who will lend their voice to a meeting for the population of Gaza in one of its darkest moments, after a year and a half of Israeli offensive in which 51,000 people have been killed.

“We have been witnessing the horror in Gaza for too long. It hurts. It hurts as people, it hurts as humanity. In the face of so much destruction and sadness, we also feel a deep need not to remain silent. To raise our voice and join the Palestinian voices that now support humanity,” UNRWA said.

The solidarity tickets are now available on this website, with a cost of 25 € + management costs of the platform. All proceeds will go to UNRWA’s humanitarian work in Gaza, supporting the most vulnerable civilian population.

This event is born with the purpose of giving voice to humanity and solidarity, at a critical moment for the population of Gaza, and offers a unique opportunity to collaborate with an urgent cause through the power of music.
