The Ambassador of Ecuador, Wilma Andrade, and the Minister of Economy, Finance and Employment of the Community of Madrid, Rocío Albert, have signed an Action Protocol to achieve the accreditation of professional skills of the Ecuadorian community, the training is based on a combination of experience and non-formal learning.
This Protocol of Action, which is a pioneer for both the Republic of Ecuador and the Community of Madrid, aims to improve the conditions and employment prospects of Ecuadorians who have a project in the Community of Madrid.
Ambassador Wilma Andrade thanked the Community of Madrid for its openness and full support, and assured that “this Protocol will improve not only access to employment but also the quality of life of many Ecuadorians, one of the priorities of the National Government”.
Council Rocío Albert said that this agreement “offers the working population with experience but no formal qualification, the opportunity to credit such experience in their curriculum vitae and open doors to new opportunities. It is a win-win, because it will allow the Community of Madrid to study this pilot plan in order to open it up to other nationalities and the Embassy of Ecuador to extend it to other autonomous communities.”
In the Community of Madrid, there are more than 100,000 Ecuadorians, about 77,000 with Spanish nationality and over 33,000 with residence permits. It is one of the most integrated communities with the development of the region.
