Tomorrow, Tuesday at 7.30 pm, the Chamber Room of the Auditorio Nacional de Música in Madrid will receive the virtuoso pianist Alexandre Kantorow (pictured) in an exceptional and exclusive concert for subscribers to the Cycle of Great Performers, on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the Fundación Scherzo.
Kantorow will perform a carefully selected programme that will tour works by Brahms, Liszt, Bartók, Rachmaninov and a fascinating transcription of Bach by Brahms for the left hand. The entry will be an exclusive gift from the Fundación Scherzo to its subscribers, thus recognizing their unconditional support and commitment to this prestigious cycle. There will be no tickets for sale, which makes this concert a real gift to those who have been fundamental part of this musical history.
At only 27 years old, Alexandre Kantorow has left an indelible mark on the world of classical music. Recognized as the youngest pianist to receive the Gilmore Artist Award in 2024 and the first French to win this award, Kantorow is one of the most promising and internationally sought-after figures. Four years earlier, at only 22 years old, he was crowned the first French pianist to win the gold medal and the Grand Prix of the International Tchaikovsky Competition.
