Ignacio Casanovas, a Spanish businessman with extensive experience in the energy sector, has been appointed advisor to the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs “Atameken” of the Republic of Kazakhstan and Representative of the International Chamber of Commerce of that country.
The National Chamber of Entrepreneurs “Atameken” represents the interests of all entities of the economic and industrial block of the State, public and private companies and sectoral associations, and the appointment recognizes Casanovas’ experience of more than 20 years and his commitment to promoting global cooperation in Kazakhstan.
Ignacio Casanovas, who has been the Honorary Consul of Kazakhstan in Toledo (Spain) since 2017, will be in charge of designing strategic initiatives to meet the objectives set by President Tokayev, in line with the protection and development of local industry, increasing foreign investment and international cooperation.
On the occasion of the appointment, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the International Chamber of Commerce of Kazakhstan noted that Casanovas has a distinguished career, marked by significant achievements in the oil and gas industry, logistics and large infrastructure projects, and that he has played a significant role in the development of projects in Kazakhstan, demonstrating a deep understanding of the intricacies of international trade and industry.
