Dominican Embassy calls for Padre Billini Awards 2024

 

The Embassy of the Dominican Republic has launched the call to choose the winners of the sixth edition of the Father Billini Awards 2024 in its two categories: Solidarity and Excellence, in honor of the priest and philanthropist who dedicated his life to charity and the welfare of the most needy, Francisco Xavier Billini Hernández.

 

The Dominican ambassador, Juan Bolívar Díaz, has announced this call, which is now open for nominations until 31 May this year, so that Dominicans abroad whose contributions are a reference in Spain and the Dominican Republic, as well as non-profit institutions that stand out for their solidarity, cultural, social and humanitarian work in favour of Dominicans, can be proposed by a third party.

 

Nominations must demonstrate the importance of the work carried out in favour of the collective and prove the exemplary execution of their actions. Likewise, a written statement must be submitted setting out the extraordinary merits of the candidate, as well as providing relevant data or audiovisual material to support the nomination.

 

Applications will not be accepted from people who currently hold public office, previous winners, Spanish and foreign heads of state and/or government, and people or organisations applying for the award for themselves.
