Piano concerts: from Beethoven to Brahms and from Mozart to Rachmaninov

 

The Fundación Excelentia presents at the Club Monteverdi in Madrid (Calle Almagro, 36) two masterly piano concer ts that show the evolution of this musical instrument.

 

The first event is tomorrow Friday at 19.30 and is entitled From Beethoven to Brahms, a luxury concert to enjoy masterpieces by Beethoven, Brahms and Scriabin, with the virtuoso pianist Emin Kiourktchian (in the photo). The programme is as follows: Beethoven ‘s Sonata No.31 , BrahmsSonata No.1 and Scriabin’s Fantasy Op28. Tickets can be purchased at this link.

 

The second concert will take place on Saturday 20th April also at 19.30 and is entitled From Mozart to Rachmaninov, with the famous pianist Miquel Gusi. The programme is made up of the Sonata no.17 in B flat major KV570, by Mozart; the Momento musical op.16 no.1 and the Estudios-cuadro op.33 no.1 and 2, by Rachmaninov; El Albaicín, by Albéniz, and the Sonata Dante, by Liszt.
