The King will receive today in hearing the judge of the US Supreme Court Sonia Sotomayor, who is in Spain to attend the event to commemorate Women’s Day, which will take place at the Constitutional Court.

Sotomayor, the first Hispanic person to reach the Supreme Court bench in 2009 – when she was appointed by President Barack Obama – and the third female justice in the history of the Supreme Court, will deliver the keynote address at the commemorative event, organized at the Court Constitutional Law to vindicate the leading role of women jurists in the advancement of gender equality and democracy throughout the world. The Supreme Court of the United States is the highest court in the country.
