The Ministry of Defense has delivered 110 cargo parachutes to Jordan to deliver humanitarian aid packages to the Gaza Strip, in response to a request made by King Abdullah.
As reported yesterday by the department headed by Margarita Robles, the Hashemite kingdom has already established contacts with different NGOs deployed in Gaza to coordinate the reception and distribution of aid.
Jordan is one of the promoters of the initiative to carry out food drops from planes so that the Gazans can receive them in the face of the blockade that Israel maintains so that aid can arrive by land.
The Ministry of Defense noted that “this shipment of material is framed in the context of Spain’s commitment to the civilian population, which suffers the consequences of the war between Israel and Gaza, after the attack on October 7,” at the same time who insists on “an immediate ceasefire.”
In recent days, deliveries of humanitarian material have been carried out from planes from the United States, France, Qatar, Jordan, Egypt and the United Arab Emirates, especially in the south of the Gaza Strip, where the majority of displaced people are located.
