Casa Árabe presents the International Seminar Decent Work and Economic Growth in the Middle East: Challenges and Opportunities, at its headquarters in Madrid on Wednesday 6 March, from 9.30am to 1.45pm.
The seminar, organised by the Fundación Promoción Social, through its Centre for Middle East Studies (CEMO) and its Women and Equality Observatory (OMEI), has as its main objective to explore the current state of the human right to decent work and economic growth in the Middle East, as well as the fulfilment of the goals established by Sustainable Development Goal 8 in this region. Special attention will be paid to the particular cases of Palestine, Jordan, Lebanon and Egypt and to vulnerable populations (women, youth, refugees/displaced people, people with disabilities and/or rural people). In addition, the transformative power of Spanish cooperation in this context will be analysed. The programme of the seminar can be consulted at(https://promocionsocial.org/…/01/Programa_programme.pdf). Registration is essential via this link.
