Strengthening diplomatic relations and promoting bilateral cooperation between Slovakia and the region of Andalusia was the aim of Ambassador Juraj Tomaga’s official visit to the city of Malaga from 22 to 24 June, during which he met with the Mayor, Francisco de la Torre, and the Director General of the Andalusia Technology Park, Felipe Romera.

With the Mayor of Malaga, the Slovakian Ambassador discussed opportunities for collaboration in areas such as trade, culture and tourism. According to a statement from the Slovak Consulate in Malaga, “both leaders expressed their willingness to strengthen ties between Slovakia and Malaga, recognising the potential to promote mutually beneficial economic and cultural exchanges”.

In addition, Juraj Tomaga explored, during his meeting with Felipe Romera, the possibilities for cooperation in the field of technology, innovation and research, “recognising the importance of promoting the exchange of knowledge and business collaboration between the two regions”, according to the statement sent to The Diplomat.
