Until 30 July, the Teatro Pavón in Madrid (Calle de Embajadores, 9) presents the play Juguetes rotos (Broken Toys), written and directed by Carolina Román and starring actors Nacho Guerreros and Kike Guaza.
The play tells the story of Mario’s daily life in an office. A phone call will change his life forever… From that moment on, we will travel to his childhood, we will live in his house, we will go through his village. Black and white brushstrokes that will truncate his sexual and gender identity. Like that of so many others.
Everyone believes Mario is free… except him. Because Mario lives in a cage. In a life he doesn’t want; in a body that asks him for changes; in a society that is not yet ready for many things and that, for that reason, creates too many broken toys that it doesn’t know how to fix. Mario decides, it is his gamble that can lead him, or not, to happiness. But happiness has a price, and it is not exactly low. Tickets for this play can be purchased at this link.
