King Felipe VI received yesterday in audience at La Zarzuela Palace the executive president of CAF-Development Bank of Latin America, Sergio Díaz-Granados, who informed him about the activities that the entity will carry out together with the Government of Spain in the framework of the Presidency of the Council of the European Union, according to the Royal House. The Secretary of State for Ibero-America, the Caribbean and Spanish in the World, Juan Fernández Trigo, also participated in the meeting.
Sergio Díaz-Granados, former executive director for Colombia and Peru at the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), has an extensive career in public and private service, both nationally and internationally, with a special emphasis on development and regional integration issues. He has served, among others, as Colombia’s Minister of Commerce, Industry and Tourism and has been a congressman and chairman of the Economic Affairs Committee of the House of Representatives.
