This evening at 8 p.m., the theatre of the Instituto Francés in Madrid is previewing the dramatic film Corazones valientes (Coeurs vaillant), directed by Mona Achace and starring Swann Arlaud, Franck Beckmann, Patrick D’Assumçao and Lila-Rose Gilberti, among others.
Summer 1942. During the Second World War, six Jewish children seek refuge where no one would think to find them: inside the Château de Chambord, amidst the hidden works of art of the Louvre. Despite the danger that threatens them, despite the death that stalks them, these brave hearts learn to savour the present moment. The film was shot in the Château de Chambord and the gigantic park that surrounds it, enclosed by 50 km2 of ramparts. The castle and nature are omnipresent in the film, at once wondrous, cruel and agonising as in a children’s fairy tale. Tickets can be purchased here.
