This evening at 7.30 p.m., the Instituto Francés in Madrid is launching a cycle of film debates Carte blanche a…: each month, a Spanish filmmaker or intellectual presents his or her favourite French film, in conversation with the filmmaker Floreal Peleato.
The first debate will be with the filmmaker Isabel Coixet, who will present La femme d’à côté (The Woman Next Door) by François Truffaut. This will be followed by a screening of the film. The film tells the story of how, in a small village near Grenoble, Mathilde Bauchard meets Bernard Coudray, a man with whom she had a relationship years before.
