The Fundación Excelentia presents ‘Spanish Night: guitar and zarzuela’

Next Monday 12th July at 8pm, the Fundación Excelentia presents the concert Noche Española: guitarra y zarzuela at the Teatro Real in Madrid.

 

The concert will feature the most famous zarzuela fragments for tenor and soprano, and works for guitar and symphony orchestra, with guitar virtuoso Rafael Aguirre, tenor Sergio Escobar and soprano Verónica Tello, accompanied by the Orquesta Clásica Santa Cecilia conducted by Kynan Johns. La Verbena de la Paloma (Tomás Bretón), Cuando está tan hondo (Ruperto Chapí), Recuerdos de la Alhambra, guitarra (Francisco Tárrega), La leyenda del beso (Soutullo y Vert), La tabernera del puerto (Sorozábal), La boda de Luis Alonso (Giménez), Canción húngara, alma de dios (José Serrano), Sevilla, guitarra (Isaac Albéniz) or Suspiros de España (Antonio Álvarez Alonso) will be some of the pieces performed.
