Casa América vindicates the role of women during the month of March

Casa América dedicates a large part of its March activities to vindicating the role of women from perspectives as diverse as science, politics, literature, activism, philosophy, dance and film.

Inclusive and feminist, the institution will illuminate the façade of its headquarters, the Palacio de Linares, in purple from the 5th of March. Every Monday in March at 6 p.m., the Latin American Complexities with a Gender Focus series will take place, with lectures by leading figures in philosophy, literature and feminism. The feature film La ola verde (Let it be law) will be screened. Wednesday 17 March at 19:00. There will be a jazz concert: Bitácoras. Una travesía entre España y América desde dos miradas (Journey between Spain and America from two perspectives), as part of the Ellas Crean Festival. On Thursday 18 at 6 p.m. and 7.15 p.m. (two performances), there will be a dance and video art show: Acumular artificios, by Mercedes Pedroche, also as part of the Ellas Crean Festival. And finally, on Tuesday 23 March at 6 p.m., a digital dialogue with the filmmaker Alicia Scherson will be presented as part of the Film Dialogues organised by the Centre.
