For the third session of the Café confiné, the Instituto Francés of Madrid proposes this afternoon at 6.30 pm to address the creation of its cultural identity, built on myths and artistic icons, addressing The Myth of Carmen: art and cultural identity, with the presence of Carlos Alonso Perez-Fajardo, director of the Ignacio Zuloaga art museum.
Cultural identity is a set of values, traditions, symbols and modes of behaviour that function as a cohesive element within a social group and a substrate for the feeling of belonging. It is often built on artistic icons. In this third “café confiné”, we will address the creation of myths today as the basis of our identity but generated, to a greater or lesser extent, outside our borders. To participate, it is necessary to send an email indicating the title of the workshop and the full name to: libro@institutfrancais.es.
