The Spanish Federation of Healthcare Technology Companies (Fenin), Oesía group and the airline Iberia have created an air corridor with China to import healthcare material. The operation, coordinated through a logistics center, began this weekend, with Airbus A350 aircraft.
The first flight from Shanghai will arrive in Madrid tomorrow, Monday. Other flights are scheduled to arrive over the next week and the following weeks, and the first movements will involve a total of 90 tonnes of medical material.
The promoters of this initiative seek to “decongest and increase the supply to Spain of medical products needed to prevent the spread of Covid-19, make more diagnoses of the disease and treat patients,” according to a joint statement. The initiative has the support of the Government, through up to four ministries: Health, Foreign Affairs, Finance and Industry and Trade.
