Spain reached, between January and November 2017, 255,155 million euros in exports (9.1% more than in the same period of 2016), a new record that did not prevent the trade deficit to reach 22,694 million euros, with an increase of 39.2%, according to the data provided yesterday by the Ministry of Economy.
Exports to the EU, 65.8% of the total, rose by 8%. Outside Europe, the highlights are the increases in exports to Argentina (+ 54.1%), Nigeria (+ 30.3%), China (+ 26%), Australia (+ 22%), the Philippines (+ 17%), Morocco (+ 16%), Brazil (+ 14%), the United States (+ 10%) or Canada (+ 10%). On the contrary, sales fell to Venezuela (-51%), Algeria (-11%) and Egypt (-8.6%).
