Fathallah Sijilmassi, secretary general of the Union for the Mediterranean (UfM), told the Foreign Minister, Alfonso Dastis, on Wednesday, about preparation for the meeting of the UpM Regional Forum, to be held in Barcelona on 23 and 24 June of this month. Fathallah Sijilmassi also attended a working lunch hosted by Secretaries of State for Foreign Affairs, Ignacio Ybáñez, and International Cooperation and Ibero-America, Fernando García Casas.
Sijilmassi, who thanked Spain for its constant political, technical and financial support to the Barcelona-based organization, presented Ybáñez and García Casas with details of the meeting, composed of two segments: a meeting of foreign ministers of the member states and a conference entitled “The Mediterranean in Action: The youth, a motor for stability and development” open to the private sector and civil society.
