The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has published a communiqué in which they express the Government’s regret that the Review Conference of the Parties to the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT), which took place in New York, ended on Friday without an agreement due to the lack of agreement of proliferation in the Middle East.
The communiqué stated that, despite everything, Spain’s role, having taken up the Presidency of the organisation in charge of facilitating the negotiations on regional issues, has been praised by all parties, and the event has underscored the confidence in our country “as mediator and consensus generator”.
