Iberdrola is promoting energy eficiency in food business.

The Spanish Food and Drink Industry Federation (FIAB in its Spanish acronym) will count on the counselling of Iberdrola for its members to achieve greater energy efficiency, according to an agreement signed by both entities.
Through this agreement, the electrical company will cooperate with the development of the food industry during the next six years in the Strategic Framework, which has the support of the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Environment.
The objective of the strategic framework is making the food and drink companies in Spain to be more competitive and international, and to be bigger.

To be more specific, Iberdrola will be offering personalized counselling related to energy efficiency to the FIAB’s members, who could benefit this way from the implementation of a series of measures. Among these, efficient lighting, the optimization of the hourly energy consumption, the reduction of reactive energy or the so-called “freecooling”, which is the installation of intelligent ventilation equipments to introduce cold air from the outside, previously treated, within the data centres.
The agreement was signed by the president of the Federation, Pedro Astals, and the business director of Iberdrola, Aitor Moso, according to a joint statement.
