The President of the Senate, Pedro Roll\u00e1n, informed the Spanish Embassy in Buenos Aires of the trip he will make on the 24th and 25th of this month to Argentina, according to sources from the Presidency of the Upper House cited by Europa Press.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

The newspaper El Pa\u00eds published yesterday an information according to which Roll\u00e1n did not inform the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of this trip, when the two countries have been immersed in a diplomatic crisis since last May.<\/p>\n

The aforementioned sources from the Senate indicated that although Roll\u00e1n does not have to inform the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of this trip to Argentina, he did communicate his visit to the charg\u00e9 d’affaires of the Spanish Embassy in Buenos Aires on September 26. The Spanish Government recalled its ambassador on May 21, in protest against the accusations of corruption launched by the Argentine president, Javier Milei, against Pedro S\u00e1nchez’s wife.<\/p>\n

Roll\u00e1n’s agenda in Buenos Aires, after meeting with the Argentine ambassador in Madrid, Roberto Bosch, last Monday, has not yet been detailed, and his visit will take place a couple of weeks after, as The Diplomat<\/em> announced, the vice president of Argentina and president of the Senate, Victoria Villarruel, travels to Spain<\/strong><\/a> to participate in the International Conference of Victims of Terrorism, which will take place in Vitoria on October 8 and 9.
