The meeting took place at the residence of the Argentine ambassador to Spain in Madrid.<\/p>\n<p>Hungary has held the rotating Presidency of the Council of the EU since 1 July. With the slogan \u201cMake Europe Great Again\u201d and under the leadership of the ultra-nationalist Viktor Orb\u00e1n, Budapest took over from Belgium at a time of transition, coinciding with the first months of the legislature and the new institutional cycle.<\/p>\n<p>Despite Orb\u00e1n&#8217;s controversial decisions (especially his trip to Moscow to meet with the Russian president, Vladimir Putin, at the start of the Hungarian Presidency), which have caused unrest in most Member States and in the European Commission, the Spanish Government has decided not to support the total boycott of the informal meetings of the Hungarian Presidency, proposed by some countries and even raised by the Commission.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Eduardo Gonz\u00e1lez The Minister
