{"id":93299,"date":"2024-09-16T06:00:00","date_gmt":"2024-09-16T04:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thediplomatinspain.com\/?p=93299"},"modified":"2024-09-14T19:44:35","modified_gmt":"2024-09-14T17:44:35","slug":"migration-routes-drama-in-the-exhibition-no-me-olvides","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thediplomatinspain.com\/en\/2024\/09\/16\/migration-routes-drama-in-the-exhibition-no-me-olvides\/","title":{"rendered":"Migration routes drama in the exhibition \u2018No me olvides\u2019"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>From next Wednesday to October 11, <strong>Casa Am\u00e9rica<\/strong> presents the photographic exhibition <strong><em>No me olvides (Don\u2019t forget me),<\/em><\/strong> by <strong>Ximena Borraz\u00e1s,<\/strong> made up of 22 photographs that seek to bring together the stories and situations of people who cross migratory routes fleeing dramatic situations in search of a better life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Photographer Ximena Borraz\u00e1s portrays the testimonies of some of the 71 migrants rescued in the central Mediterranean by the Basque humanitarian ship &#8220;Aita Mari&#8221; and also pictures of their trip to Ethiopia in May this year, In which he documented the humanitarian crisis in Tigray and the migration routes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ximena Borraz\u00e1s is a documentary photographer born in Uruguay who focuses her work on the coverage of armed conflicts, human rights violations and migratory and humanitarian crises. He has published his work in relevant international media, including <em>National Geographic, The Guardian, BBC <\/em>and<em> DW.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The exhibition is co-organized with the Embassy of Uruguay and UNIR University. Tomorrow, Tuesday, coinciding with the opening of the exhibition, there will be a dialogue linked to the exhibition in which the photographer author of the exhibition will participate; <strong>Manuel S\u00e1nchez Moreno,<\/strong> director of the Master\u2019s degree in Development Cooperation and NGO Management of UNIR; <strong>Pablo Mart\u00ednez Mu\u00f1iz, <\/strong>director of the Master of
