The\u00a0Thyssen Museum<\/b>\u00a0in Madrid is presenting the exhibition\u00a0Realistas de Madrid,<\/i><\/b>\u00a0from 9 February to 22 May dedicated to a historical and generational group of painters and sculptors who have lived and worked in Madrid since the fifties, connected by both the links of their training and their work, and their personal relationships and and families.<\/p>\n

Although it was joined at times by other names, the group presented here comprises seven painters: \u00a0Antonio L\u00f3pez Garc\u00eda; his wife, Mar\u00eda Moreno; the sculptors Julio L\u00f3pez Hern\u00e1ndez and his brother Francisco; Julio’s wife, the painter Esperanza Parada; Francisco’s wife, also a painter, Isabel Quintanilla, and Amalia Avia, married to the painter Lucio Mu\u00f1oz.<\/p>\n
