Next Tuesday, April 9, at 8 p.m., the Inetituto Rumano de Cultura<\/b> opens the 14th Romanian Film Festival <\/i><\/b>at the Sala Azcona of Cineteca Madrid <\/b>(Plaza de Legazpi, 8), with the film MMXX<\/b> in the presence of its prestigious Romanian director Cristi Puiu,<\/b> promoter of the New Wave of Romanian cinema and winner at the Cannes Film Festival.<\/p>\n

Cristi Puiu will also give a master class on Wednesday, 10 April, at 4 p.m., at the ECAM (C. de Juan de Ordu\u00f1a, 3, 28223 Pozuelo de Alarc\u00f3n, Madrid).<\/p>\n

The 14th Romanian Film Festival will close on 14 April, at 8 p.m., in the Sala Azcona of Cineteca Madrid, with the screening of the film Nu a\u0219tepta prea mult de la sf\u00e2r\u0219itul lumii \/ Don’t expect too much from the end of the world<\/i>, by director Radu Jude<\/b>.<\/p>\n

This year, in addition to the 5 contemporary films, the Institute proposes a documentary film section with three films by director Andrei Ujic\u0103,<\/b> as part of the commemoration of 35 years since the fall of communism: Out of the Present, <\/i>Saturday, 13 April, 6pm, Sala Plat\u00f3; Videograms of a Revolution,<\/i> Saturday, 13 April, 8pm, Sala Azcona, and Autobiography of Nicolae Ceau\u0219escu,<\/i> Sunday, 14 April, 6pm, Sala Plat\u00f3.<\/p>\n
