The previous meeting took place on 31 January, also in the presence of Reynders, who, at the end of that meeting, assured that he had achieved a &#8220;clear commitment&#8221; from the minister and the leader of the PP for the renewal of the Council of the Judiciary.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>For his part, Bola\u00f1os declared that day that the meeting had been \u201ccordial and constructive\u201d and that the two parties had gotten \u201cto work\u201d so that this time it would be \u201cthe final one.\u201d Gonz\u00e1lez Pons, on the other hand, expressed little enthusiasm after the meeting and was even &#8220;very pessimistic&#8221;, although he clarified that the fact that a new meeting was called allowed us to consider that progress had been made. \u201cThe first thing that the Government of Pedro S\u00e1nchez sacrifices in its negotiations is usually the independence of the judiciary,\u201d he
