The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Jos\u00e9 Manuel Albares, held an intense day of work yesterday on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum in Davos (Switzerland), which included meetings with businessmen, with the Prime Minister of Lebanon, with his counterpart from Peru and with the president of the International Red Cross.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

As reported through his official account on the social network X, Albares held a meeting with the Lebanese Prime Minister, Najib Mikati. \u201cSpain is committed to the peace, stability and prosperity of Lebanon, to which we contribute with the UNIFIL peace mission,\u201d declared the minister. \u201cWe have also addressed the situation in the region and the Spanish Cooperation projects in Lebanon,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Subsequently, Albares met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Peru, Javier Gonz\u00e1lez-Olaechea Franco, \u201cto address bilateral, economic and cooperation relations between Spain and Peru,\u201d he explained on the same social network. \u201cWe will continue working to strengthen Ibero-American cooperation,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

The agenda also included a meeting with the president of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), Mirjana Spoljaric, with whom he discussed \u201cthe terrible humanitarian situation in Gaza and humanitarian support for Ukraine.\u201d \u201cSpain co-chairs the Donor Support Group and is a major contributor to the ICRC,\u201d he recalled.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Albares’ day in Davos also included a breakfast with the CEOs of Naturgy, CEPSA and Repsol, a meeting with the CEO of the pharmaceutical company Moderna, St\u00e9phane Bancel, and an interview with the Al Jazeera program The Bottom Line<\/em>.<\/p>\n
