Tomorrow Tuesday at 11.30 am, the Real F\u00e1brica de Tapices (RFT)<\/strong> presents at its headquarters (Calle Fuenterrab\u00eda, 2) the book El l\u00e9xico industrial de la seda en el siglo XVIII (The industrial lexicon of silk in the 18th century), <\/em><\/strong>published by it, with the collaboration of the Colegio del Arte Mayor de la Seda,<\/strong> and written by the academic Beatriz Sanz Alonso.<\/strong> It is the first vocabulary published on silk.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n During the presentation, Alicia Engu\u00eddanos,<\/strong> an artisan from the Colegio del Arte Mayor de la Seda, will demonstrate the process of extracting silk thread by hand. The thread extracted from each cocoon can measure between 1,000 and 1,500 metres, approximately.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n This dictionary has three fundamental contributions.
