{"id":80384,"date":"2023-06-29T04:02:47","date_gmt":"2023-06-29T02:02:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/zen-hopper.82-223-81-17.plesk.page\/2023\/06\/29\/students-from-british-education-system-will-be-able-to-access-spanish-universities\/"},"modified":"2023-06-29T04:02:47","modified_gmt":"2023-06-29T02:02:47","slug":"students-from-british-education-system-will-be-able-to-access-spanish-universities","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thediplomatinspain.com\/en\/2023\/06\/29\/students-from-british-education-system-will-be-able-to-access-spanish-universities\/","title":{"rendered":"Students from British education system will be able to access Spanish universities"},"content":{"rendered":"<h6><strong>The Diplomat<\/strong><\/h6>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Governments of Spain and the United Kingdom signed yesterday an agreement to facilitate the access of students from the British educational system to Spanish universities.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The agreement, signed yesterday by the <strong>Minister of Education and Vocational Training, Pilar Alegr\u00eda, and the Ambassador of the United Kingdom in Madrid, Hugh Elliott<\/strong>, will allow students studying in the British education system to access university in Spain under the same conditions as students from European Union member states.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The agreement, which <strong>will be signed in the coming days by<\/strong> <strong>the Minister for Universities, Joan Subirats<\/strong>, limits the impact of Brexit on access to university for both UK students and the more than 70,000 students from the more than 80 educational centers that teach in Spain within the British system. This agreement facilitates educational cooperation between the two countries.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Today I had the honour of signing the agreement on the recognition of school qualifications with Pilar Alegria which will facilitate the access to university for our respective students,&#8221; Elliott stated via his official Twitter account. &#8220;I look forward to
