On 26 June at 6.30 p.m., the Real F\u00e1brica de Tapices<\/strong> will hold its First Seminar on the Conservation and Restoration of the Textile Heritage of Brotherhoods and Guilds,<\/em><\/strong> at its headquarters at Calle Fuenterrab\u00eda, 2.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n The presentation will be given by the director of the Real F\u00e1brica de Tapices, Alejandro Klecker,<\/strong> who will explain the origin, evolution and main figures that have shaped the History of the Real F\u00e1brica de Tapices (RTF).<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Next, the director of Restoration at the RFT, Ver\u00f3nica Garc\u00eda,<\/strong> will address the process of conservation and restoration of historic textiles. In addition to providing some advice on the preventive conservation of textiles, she will explain specific examples of interventions carried out at the Real F\u00e1brica, such as the Brotherhood of Nuestra Se\u00f1ora de los Santos de M\u00f3stoles, the Brotherhood of the Virgen de la Paloma or the Cruz de Caravaca Brotherhood.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Finally, Almudena L\u00f3pez,<\/strong> a specialist in Dyeing at the Institution, will highlight the importance of dyeing and colour evaluation in textile restoration processes.
