{"id":79987,"date":"2023-05-18T04:03:34","date_gmt":"2023-05-18T02:03:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/zen-hopper.82-223-81-17.plesk.page\/2023\/05\/18\/talgo-receives-new-order-for-56-trains-from-german-operator-deutsche-bahn\/"},"modified":"2023-05-18T04:03:34","modified_gmt":"2023-05-18T02:03:34","slug":"talgo-receives-new-order-for-56-trains-from-german-operator-deutsche-bahn","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thediplomatinspain.com\/en\/2023\/05\/18\/talgo-receives-new-order-for-56-trains-from-german-operator-deutsche-bahn\/","title":{"rendered":"Talgo receives new order for 56 trains from German operator Deutsche Bahn"},"content":{"rendered":"<h6><strong>The Diplomat<\/strong><\/h6>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Talgo has signed a second order with German railway operator Deutsche Bahn to manufacture 56 Talgo model 230 trains, worth approximately \u20ac1.4 billion<\/strong>, reports <em>Europa Press.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>This new order is part of the framework contract signed in 2019 between the two companies for the manufacture of up to 100 trains, as the company announced yesterday to the Spanish National Securities Market Commission (CNMV).<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Specifically, <strong>Talgo and Deutsche Bahn signed a framework contract in February 2019 for the manufacture of up to 100 Talgo trains of the 230 model,<\/strong> the High Speed train, a self-propelled vehicle with the capacity to run at speeds of up to 230 kilometres per hour.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>In this framework contract, <strong>a first order was initially signed to manufacture 23 trains<\/strong>, so this second order is consolidated as a series continuation to increase the scope from the initial 23 trains to a total of 79 units.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The Talgo 230 trains, known by Deutsche Bahn as &#8216;ICE L&#8217;, will have the same configuration as those corresponding to the first order, and will maintain their commitment to sustainability and energy savings. Talgo has explained that the execution of the project will begin once the financing structure has been
