From 1 May to 4 June, coinciding with the Fiestas de la Comunidad de Madrid and San Isidro, five essential Spanish zarzuelas<\/em><\/strong> will be performed at the Teatro Amaya <\/strong>(Paseo del General Mart\u00ednez Campos, 9): Los Gavilanes,<\/em> by Jacinto Guerrero;<\/strong> La del Manojo de Rosas,<\/em> by Pablo Soroz\u00e1bal;<\/strong> La Revoltosa,<\/em> by Ruperto Chap\u00ed; <\/strong>Agua, Azucarillos y Aguardiente,<\/em> by Federico Chueca,<\/strong> and La Verbena de la Paloma,<\/em> by Tom\u00e1s Bret\u00f3n.<\/strong> All of them starring the prestigious company L’Operamore <\/strong>and live orchestra.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n In this way, the Teatro Amaya seeks to continue its commitment to zarzuela, a vitally important genre and a form of musical expression that has played a fundamental role in Spanish culture. A genre that not only has aesthetic and cultural value, but also forms part of the identity of our country.
