Tomorrow Friday at 10.30 p.m., soul and blues will flood Madrid’s Templo Club<\/strong> (Calle Duque de Osuna, 8) with the group The Clams,<\/em><\/strong> seven women who fuse different streams of soul and rhythm & blues, with their own songs in Spanish and some reminiscences of great figures like Ray Charles, Nina Simone, Otis Redding <\/strong>and Aretha Franklin.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The seven women who make up The Clams fuse diverse soul and rhythm & blues trends from a spectacular line-up: the impeccable rhythmic strength of Maylin Johoy<\/strong> on drums merges with the depth of Silvia Hern\u00e1ndez<\/strong> on bass, which, through the constant sonic exploration of guitarist Henar Lastres<\/strong> and the harmonic passion of keyboardist Laura Nadal,<\/strong> is joined by a powerful and fun wind section led by Katia Fern\u00e1ndez<\/strong> on tenor saxophone and Almudena Usero<\/strong> on trumpet, who manage to gravitate around the powerful and groundbreaking voice of Marina Blanot.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Clams are already part of the bands included in the festivals of the localities of the Community of Madrid<\/strong> and the City Council<\/strong> of the capital has contracted their performances on numerous occasions, the last one on the balconies of the Plaza de la Villa in front of an audience that under the rain was at all times devoted to their music and their strength. The diversity of its members and their overflowing soul determine their music with a constant stream of sensitivity, energy and quality.
