The Caja de las Letras<\/strong> at the Instituto Cervantes<\/strong> in Madrid (Alcal\u00e1, 49) opens on Wednesday 11 January at 10 a.m. to receive the legacy “in memoriam” of the Argentinean writer Ernesto S\u00e1bato.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n In 1984, the Argentinian writer won the Miguel de Cervantes Prize, the highest award in Spanish literature, and has other distinctions to his name, such as the Gabriela Mistral Award, granted by the Organisation of American States (OAS).<\/p>\n <\/p>\n The award ceremony will be presided over by Luis Garc\u00eda Montero,<\/strong> director of the Instituto Cervantes, and will be attended by Mario S\u00e1bato,<\/strong> writer and filmmaker; Esteban Avil\u00e9s,<\/strong> president of the C\u00f3rdoba Tourism Agency of the province of C\u00f3rdoba (Argentina); Sebasti\u00e1n Boldrini,<\/strong> secretary of Tourism of the Municipality of Villa Carlos Paz (Argentina), and Pedro Jorge Solans,<\/strong> writer and journalist.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Admission is restricted to the Caja de las Letras.
