This afternoon at 5.30 p.m., the Embassy of Paraguay<\/strong> begins its Paraguayan Film Sessions, <\/em><\/strong>with the screening of the documentary short film Restaurando a H\u00e9ctor, <\/em><\/strong>by Dea Mar\u00eda Pompa<\/strong> (in the photo); the documentary film Arete Guas\u00fa,<\/em><\/strong> and Reinas.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Dea Mar\u00eda Pompa,<\/strong> producer, scriptwriter and director, was president of the Paraguayan Film Academy in her first term. Her final project, the documentary short film that is being screened today, was awarded the Matr\u00edcula de Honor and received a scholarship to study the Master’s Degree in Creative Documentary at the UPF.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n In the documentary film Arete Guas\u00fa,<\/em><\/strong> the history and culture of the Guaran\u00ed are revealed through the voices and images of the ancient people, grandparents, historical leaders and present-day natives. It is a time of reunion with the history and culture of the Guarani corn.\u00a0 “May our arete guas\u00fa never end”, say the elders, while sharing chicha, tuning the flute and their drums, during the At\u00edku, leaving as a testament a rich legacy to the new generations. “It is the dance of the reunion of the Guaran\u00ed nation, without borders. Our ancestors come to dance the Arete Guas\u00fa.
