{"id":77712,"date":"2022-09-14T04:02:19","date_gmt":"2022-09-14T02:02:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/zen-hopper.82-223-81-17.plesk.page\/2022\/09\/14\/dominican-republics-gdp-will-grow-above-5-according-to-bank-of-america\/"},"modified":"2022-09-14T04:02:19","modified_gmt":"2022-09-14T02:02:19","slug":"dominican-republics-gdp-will-grow-above-5-according-to-bank-of-america","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thediplomatinspain.com\/en\/2022\/09\/14\/dominican-republics-gdp-will-grow-above-5-according-to-bank-of-america\/","title":{"rendered":"Dominican Republic&#8217;s GDP will grow above 5%, according to Bank of America"},"content":{"rendered":"<h6><strong>The Diplomat<\/strong><\/h6>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>A <strong>report by the Bank of America &#8220;recognises the economic management of the Government of the Dominican Republic<\/strong> in the current crisis scenario, highlighting this year&#8217;s growth, estimated at 5.5% of the gross domestic product&#8221;, says the <strong>Embassy of the Dominican Republic in a press release<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The report entitled &#8220;<strong>Overcoming the oil crisis<\/strong>&#8220;, in addition to the sustained economic growth, one of the highest in the continent, highlights the &#8220;<strong>good performance of the tourism sector<\/strong>&#8220;, a &#8220;<strong>better than expected&#8221; management of the budget<\/strong> and the <strong>proportional reduction of public debt<\/strong>, adds the note, which also indicates that &#8220;economic growth in 2022 will be higher than the 4.4% that had been projected, reaching 5.5%, driven by a third by tourism&#8221;, which the Dominican Republic managed to fully recover since the last quarter of 2021.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The Bank of America estimates that by complying with the spending budget, <strong>there will be no need to issue new sovereign bonds this year<\/strong> and projects the hope that in the next twelve months a fiscal reform project, postponed by the difficulties arising from international inflation, will be submitted to Congress.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>Bank of America report highlights that the Dominican Republic continues to attract foreign investment<\/strong> thanks to the positive evolution of the economy and political and social stability.
