The Diplomat<\/strong><\/h6>\n

Their Majesties the King and Queen of Spain, together with the Princess of Asturias, Do\u00f1a Leonor, and the Infanta Sofia, visited yesterday the Centre for the Reception, Care and Referral of Ukrainian Refugees in Pozuelo de Alarc\u00f3n (CREADE).<\/strong><\/h4>\n

 <\/p>\n

This is one of the four reception and reception centres for Ukrainian refugees in Spain, which have received a total of 12,000 people, with data up to the end of March.<\/strong><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

On their arrival at the centre, they were received by the Minister of Inclusion, Social Security and Migration, Jos\u00e9 Luis Escriv\u00e1, and the Secretary of State for Migration, Jes\u00fas Perea,<\/strong> and went to the Management building.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

At the centre’s Management building, they had a meeting with the Spanish Catholic Association of Immigrants and visited the classrooms where comprehensive care is provided to people from their arrival until their integration. The classrooms that formed part of the tour were those corresponding to: the General Directorate of the Police, the Ministry of Inclusion, Social Security and Migration, ACCEM and Social Security.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The Royal Family received first-hand explanations of the operation from the officials at their work stations.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

In the temporary residence building, also known as the Hotel, they were able to see the accommodation and the playroom for the youngest children.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The tour ended in the courtyard where a caravan of the NGO World Central Kitchen of the chef Jos\u00e9 Andr\u00e9s is installed.<\/strong><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The Centre combines social care with the issuing of documentation by the police, which allows Ukrainian refugees to obtain residence and work permits within 24 hours and gives them access to health and education, social support, accommodation and financial aid.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

It also provides information on the asylum application procedure and general issues\/questions about accommodation, social support and financial assistance.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

This occasion was the first trip back to Spain for the Princess of Asturias, who has been in Wales since 30 August to study for her baccalaureate at UWC Atlantic College.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
